Más de la mitad de los relojes de las fotos no son “japanese made”, así que tengo serias dudas al respecto de que sean los “TOP 7 BEST SELLING JAPANESE WATCHES OF ALL TIME” as well.

Y a pesar de que hablan del “Casio Edifice” como si se tratase de un modelo y no de una gama, hay que reconocer que han elegido uno de los que mejor sale en las fotos.

Esa es la diferencia entre un “german car” y un “german-made” car…lo mismo que un “japanese watch” y un “japanese-made watch”. Sutil, pero diferencia al fin y al cabo.

Interesante. Aglutinan gamas completas como Gshock o Edifice por un lado y por otro afinan más (monster naranja o ecodrive nightwawk). La verdad que no sé de dónde sacarán los datos de ventas por modelo…

No tendría porqué haber diferencia, más allá del fetichismo que cada cual le atribuya al origen.

Pienso que un operario español puede ser tan capaz y hábil como uno alemán; y de hecho algunas de los centros industriales, así como las plantas de industria auxiliar de automóvil nacionales figuran entre las mejores en productividad y calidad a nivel mundial. La calidad final dependerá de la que exija la firma a sus fábricas (estén o no en el país de origen) y de los sistemas de producción de la propia firma.

Mismo con relojes. Si la calidad exigida y sistemas de producción de Seiko en Japón y fuera de Japón son los mismos, no debiera de haber diferencias dependiendo del origen.

Sí, sí, si eso ya lo sabemos. Lo que ocurre es que cuando se redacta con rigor, se evita escribir cosas como “japanese-made watch” (ver título del artículo) en referencia a relojes que no se fabrican en Japón.

Y eso es lo que me hace dudar del rigor del resto del artículo. Relojes fabricados fuera de Japón podrán ser iguales e incluso mejores que los fabricados dentro de Japón, pero lo que no es discutible es que se trata de relojes que NO son “japanese-made”.

Totalmente de acuerdo. No tiene porque haber diferencias de calidad, aunque en algún caso especial como Seiko, en el que el producto es tan japonés y “tan de ellos” (hasta el lubricante, como se suele decir), supongo que el “Japan made” es la guinda del pastel en un mundillo donde el fetichismo también tiene un valor.

Me parece bastante subjetivo como apuntais y como.la mayoria de listas.

Como en todas estas listas que van sacando de vez en cuando, siempre se echan en falta algunos modelos y extraña ver otros. Por ejemplo se me hace raro que pongan al Monster antes que a los Seiko 5.

Claro que sí, yo he estado trabajando unos cuantos años con centros de mecanizado (máquinas de CNC) y he hecho muchas piezas para Mercedes, Volvo, Audi, etc. Las tolerancias en cada mandrinado, escariado, rosca, orificio, etc, las pone la marca y son las mismas para todos los países. Luego también suele depender de cada empresa de mecanizado el control de calidad que lleven, los primeros controles de calidad los hace el mismo operario que ha mecanizado la pieza, pero los oficiales encargados del departamento de calidad, también van pasando por los puestos de los operarios para ir controlando que pasan bien dichos controles. En algunos casos puede ser que tengan menos personas en el departamento de calidad y lleven un menor control de ello, y puede pasar que se cuele alguna pieza que esté fuera de tolerancia, pero eso puede pasar en cualquier país.

Más allá del artículo (gracias Pedro) y de lo cierto o real que sea, esos 7 bichos y sus respectivas variantes, son unos relojazos incontestables, bien construidos, duraderos, con precios sin competencia (o muy poca) en cada segmento, y seguramente con un nivel de ventas que nos dejaría con la boca abierta.

De los 7, por poner una pega, diría que no siempre acertaron con los capacitadores de los Sportura, algunas series salieron peores (se te iban en un par de años a lo sumo) como pudieron ser los 7L (creo recordar que es el que lleva ese Sportura “gun metal” y que aún conservo).

También me gustaría conocer cuantos F-30 o F-91 se han fabricado… por curiosidad. ¿Mil millones? :smiley:

¿El Orient Mako?

¿El casio F-91? (aunque se mueva en otro nivel, su popularidad y fiabilidad creo que lo hace merecedor de estar en esta lista, pese a su sencillez).

Ciertamente sorprende la ausencia en el ránking del f-91w, Mako u otros seiko como el skx007… desconozco de qué baremo se regirán aunque éstos son emho de los más afamados en los foros

Sin ánimo de ofender, no debe ser lo mismo hacerlo en Japón que en otro sitio. A mí se me ocurren ejemplos ‘ad hoc’ como el vino o el whiskey, hay una tradición detrás. No me imagino la respuesta pacífica de un trabajador español a una bronca de un japonés por el control de calidad. En Japón bajaría la cabeza y aquí subiría el puño. Vale que el troquelado y tal, pero la educación, el respeto por el trabajo bien hecho (alemania, japón, rusia) en países perdedores o aislados tras la II GM me parece consustancial al producto. No sé si nuevas generaciones y tal cambiarán, pero me suena a algo más que a fetichismo. No todo es binario.
