New from Croton is a fresh design for the water! This watch is comfortable around the water, in the water, and under the water up to 500 Meters…over 1650 feet!

Wow, that is a lot of water. But, while the watch may survive even the deepest depths, the big draw to this watch is its great sporty look! It has the convenience of the day and date feature at the 3 position and a red second hand to keep track of those special seconds as they tick away! And a deep black dial with luminous hour and minute hands as well as luminous filled baton markers at each hour position.

The stainless steel bracelet has a special high gloss black coating on the center links. The bracelet clasp is triple locking with dual push button releases, a divers locking clasp, and the normal divers single deployant lock. The bracelet is solid stainless steel as well as the case of the watch.

The bezel of the watch has the same great high lustre coating as the center links of the bracelet to bring this one all together. The coating looks similar to a ceramic or IP black treatment on the stainless steel but I have not officially heard what method is used to treat the metal. It does look very very classy. The white arabic numerals notate the minutes at a ten minute sequence and are engraved in the bezel.

The dial has a classic no frills sport watch layout with baton markers, jet black dial, day and date windows, and the red arrow tipped second hand which gives just the right amount of contrast to this dial.

The case is approximately 43mm without the crown and a chunk of solid stainless steel. It has a satin brushed finish on all surfaces and crown horns to protect the crown. The crown is a screw down crown with a push-pull mechanism once it is unscrewed. This crown must be screwed down for water resistance. The caseback is a solid steel polished caseback with decoration and information about the watch. The caseback is a screw in design which is more expensive than a snap on design and is one of the most water resistant designs in use today. This watch boasts 500 Meter or 1650 feet water resistance. A very nice pedigree for a watch costing under $200.

The bracelet is integrated into the case design so this watch will be worn as a bracelet watch unless you are willing to have a custom made strap made for this watch. It is secure and durable as well as a beautiful bracelet piece. The width of the bracelet in the main portion of the bracelet is 20mm.

This heavy duty sport diver has a fixed bezel so be sure to take along your dive computer if you dive with this one.

The engine driving this watch is a Miyota 8205 which has 21 ruby jewels and is a workhorse in the Croton stable of watches. It has a limited lifetime warranty so as long as you own this watch Croton will accept it in their facility for warranty coverage on the watch movement. Croton is exceptionally gracious in their warranty coverage which is my experience.

The crystal is hardened mineral which is slightly beveled on the edges and slightly domed to give a real vintage look to this piece.
